The Flowery Branch Lights Ferry round-a-bout connecting Lights Ferry Rd to Atlanta Highway is fast underway. The Week of 3/2 city staff began the process of demolishing the last three homes along Lights Ferry Road and Mitchell Street to make way for the new road.
The new road will make it easier for residents to access the wonderful shops downtown as well as easier access to the city park on Lake Lanier.
Bid packages are out for the work and proposals are due back to the City on March 9. A bid award will be made by the Flowery Branch City Council on March 19th.
Work is anticipated to begin in April 2015 and be completed by the end 2015.
